Job Description

The Administrative Assistant performs services that sustain and support program accreditation. He or she maintains a current knowledge of accreditation procedures and assists in the preparation and delivery of materials to and from programs, reviewers and commissioners.

Essential Functions

  • Supports the oversight and coordination of PA program accreditation requirements by working as part of the accreditation services team
  • Assists in communication with site visit teams, program and institution officials both before and after site visits
  • Assists in maintaining information used in program directory on public website
  • Assists in the maintenance of multi-year site visit and reports due schedule
  • Helps prepare and distribute materials for commission meetings and workshops
  • For each commission cycle based on the agenda, creates and updates program and reviewer files
  • Conducts the annual distribution and collection of confidentiality agreements from all representatives

Required Experience and Education:

  • Education and Credentials
  • Baccalaureate degree preferred
  • Three to five years of experience in a professional office setting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use Word and Excel
  • Ability to think and work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organized and task oriented, as demonstrated by past work experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize, adjust and adapt to changing circumstances

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. This position could occasionally require additional work in the evenings and on the weekends as needed.

Some travel is required for this position.
