The Corporate Department of our client is actively seeking an outstanding mid-level associate to join their esteemed Energy practice group in the Calgary office. This team offers top-tier advice on all facets of energy-related private mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and complex project development transactions. Their expertise includes project structuring, co-ownership arrangements, operations, marketing, supply/off-take transactions, and new developments involving industry conglomerates and both established and emerging independent producers and operators.

Qualifications and Attributes:

• 4-8 years of post-call experience in corporate/energy law from a reputable law firm, or a combination of private practice and in-house experience in oil and gas, power, and renewables, including private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and project development.
• Extensive transactional experience, including proficiency in drafting and negotiations.
• Strong academic credentials with above-average transcripts.
• A collaborative team player with a solid work ethic.
• Client-service oriented.
• Qualified to practice law in Canada.
