Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Cafe Associate who will be responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, handling payments, and providing excellent service. They play a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and other menu items according to recipes and customer preferences
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the café, including the serving area, dining tables, and equipment
• Maintain stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients to ensure smooth operations
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately, following cash handling procedures and reconciling sales at the end of each shift
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards by following proper food handling procedures and cleaning protocols
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and contribute to a cohesive team dynamic
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the café for the day, restocking supplies, and cleaning up at the end of the day
• Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills
• Proficiency in operating a cash register or point-of-sale system
• Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processing transactions and handling money.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Knowledge of products and services offered by the store may be beneficial but not always required
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
