Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and operationalize cybersecurity strategies aligned with institutional goals, digital transformation initiatives, and risk appetite.
• Direct security operations, risk management, and enterprise platform governance (e.g., SIEM, CASB, DLP, MFA) to ensure real-time protection and operational resilience.
• Lead detection, response, and remediation of security incidents. Manage threat intelligence, forensics, and executive-level communication during crises.
• Conduct enterprise-wide security risk assessments. Maintain audit readiness across FERPA, HIPAA, NIST, GLBA, and other frameworks.
• Oversee security training programs (e.g., Living Security) and foster alignment between cybersecurity priorities and campus-wide stakeholders.
• Mentor cybersecurity personnel and cultivate a high-performance, high-trust culture within the Office of Information Security.
• Advise the CIO and executive leadership on emerging threats, security architecture evolution, and long-term investment in security capabilities.
• Oversee domain integrity, SSL certificate management, CAASM, and posture management for cloud and federated systems.
