We are seeking a talented Cloud Infrastructure DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on FinOps practices to contribute to our company's long-term growth and transformation. As part of our team at Roche Informatics, you will play a crucial role in supporting cloud financial model implementation and cloud infrastructure deployment according to the industry and company best practices, across the three major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) that Roche works with.

The Opportunity
You are monitoring and analyzing cloud usage: Utilizing cloud cost management tools and analytics to track resource utilization, identifying cost anomalies, and recommending optimization actions.
You are supporting cloud infrastructure implementation efforts: Assisting development teams in implementing recommended changes to cloud architectures, ensuring successful deployment and adherence to best practices.
You are developing cost optimization strategies: Identifying opportunities to reduce cloud spend through rightsizing, reserved instances, spot instances, and other cost-effective measures.
You are staying up-to-date with cloud provider pricing models: Staying current with pricing changes, discounts, and cost management offerings from AWS, Azure, and GCP, and evaluating their applicability to Roche's cloud infrastructure.
You are conducting cloud application cost reviews and analysis: Analyzing existing cloud architectures to identify potential cost optimization opportunities and providing guidance on cost-effective design choices.
You are conducting training and knowledge sharing: Organizing training sessions and workshops to educate teams on cloud architecture best practices, cost optimization techniques, and FinOps principles.
You are staying updated with cloud technology advancements: Continuously researching and evaluating emerging technologies, tools, and services in the cloud space to enhance architecture optimization capabilities.
Who you are
You have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in a major global organization, with a preference for experience in the healthcare industry.
You hold hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP, including knowledge of services usage and pricing.
You possess knowledge of Cloud Cost Analysis tools, such as Cloudability.
You demonstrate an understanding of finance and the ability to bridge finance and technology.
You have experience with scripting, developing APIs, UIs, and automation skills, with expertise in delivering and managing infrastructure as code using languages like Python, shell script, and Terraform.
Preferred
You hold a Bachelor's degree.
You possess one or more industry certifications related to infrastructure services.
