Crane or Hoist Operator Construction

Were hiring experienced Crane and Hoist Operators on behalf of our client in the construction industry. If youre confident behind the controls of a tower crane, mobile crane, or material hoistand you know how to keep the ground crew safe while you workthis role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate cranes or material/man hoists to move steel, formwork, pallets, and construction equipment
• Read lift plans and respond to signals from riggers (radio or hand signals)
• Conduct daily equipment checks, log inspections, and report any mechanical concerns
• Maintain constant communication with ground crews for safety and coordination
• Follow all safety protocols, including load chart limits and weather-related restrictions
• Assist with basic site tasks during downtime when equipment is not in use

Qualifications

• Valid Crane Operator or Hoist Operator certification
• If your certification has expired or you have substantial operating experience without a ticket, training options may be available
• Minimum 1 year of operating experience on active construction sites
• Strong depth perception, focus, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
• Full PPE required: hard hat, steel-toe boots, high-visibility vest, gloves, and eye/ear protection
• Reliable, team-oriented attitude and respectful communication style

Compensation & Schedule

• Starting at $38/hour , with higher pay available for tower crane operators or those holding multiple certifications
• Full-time , Monday to Friday, day shifts
• Overtime, weekend, or night lifts may be required depending on project scheduling
