Job Overview

Savanna Well Servicing is seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to support our field operations in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas. Reporting to the Manager, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), this role is integral to ensuring safe and compliant operations across our field activities. This position will involve 80% fieldwork and 20% office time, requiring frequent travel to rig sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion safety. Lead by example by promoting integrity, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Safety Management Systems. Ensure consistent implementation and effectiveness of the SMS across the assigned region.
• Mentorship. Provide guidance and training on HSE best practices, regulatory requirements, and the Savanna SMS to field personnel.
• Inspections. Conduct regular safety inspections and rig assessments to identify compliance gaps and safety improvement opportunities.
• Incident Investigations. Lead or support incident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventative actions.
• Other duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical expertise - Formal training in incident investigation and root cause analysis. Proficient in MS office.
• Communication skills - strong written & verbal abilities. Confidence in communicating with target audience. Ability to handle high-pressure or emergency situations.
• Organizational skill s - highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Travel requirements: Must be willing to travel regularly to rig sites (including weekends and on-call rotation). Ability & willingness to work irregular or extended hours based on operational needs.
• Candidate must be local to Grande Prairie and area.

Education & Experience:

• Certificate/diploma in Occupational Health & Safety (preferred)
• At least 5 years of HSE experience with a strong focus on field support in multiple locations
• Knowledge and/or experience of well servicing operations
• Incident Investigation & root cause analysis training
• Working knowledge of OH&S, AER, ECB regulations, and IRPs
• Valid industry certifications (e.g. H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSO, etc)
• Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record (less than 6 demerits in the past 2 years)
