Job Description
- Review and process medical claims and invoices
- Ensure accurate coding and billing of medical procedures and services
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Collaborate with healthcare provider to resolve billing discrepancies and insurance denials
- Stay updated on medical coding guidelines and regulations
- Assist with medical collections and follow-up on outstanding accounts
- Utilize medical office system to input and retrieve patient information-Initiates follow-up activities with third-party payors regarding open claim balances; makes written and verbal inquiries to payors.
