Position Overview

We are seeking an R&D Leader to drive the research and development division at a globally expanding company. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting product development, managing the team, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to align technology development with business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the product development team and formulate technology strategies

• Provide technical solutions for products that meet customer needs

• Manage innovation activities and the development pipeline

• Oversee project management, including resource allocation, scheduling, and progress reporting

• Explore technical trends through collaboration with domestic and international research institutes and universities

• Coordinate with global R&D teams and other internal departments such as sales and quality control

• Ensure compliance with and improvement of safety standards within the laboratory

• Develop and strengthen the team by coaching and fostering a collaborative culture

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in chemistry, physics, engineering, or equivalent knowledge and experience

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in R&D, product development, or technical development

• Experience in team management, especially managing multicultural or diverse teams is preferred

• Strong customer orientation, problem-solving skills, and a flexible, proactive work style

• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environments and actively seize opportunities

• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English

• Excellent communication and leadership skills to build and maintain smooth relationships with internal and external stakeholders
