We are looking for a highly motivated Research Technician with demonstrated hands-on mammalian cell culture experience to join our team. How you might spend your days

• Executing a variety of established protocols for high-throughput and larger scale recombinant antibody expression using mammalian cell systems on our automated expression platform
• Planning and executing experiments, either independently or in collaboration with your team
• Routine handling of mammalian cell cultures including cell line maintenance, transient transfections, freezing and thawing cells
• Operating and maintaining automation robots and lab instruments
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teammates to solve problems, analyze, interpret and communicate data, all in an effort to meet project deliverables on time
• Growing your technical skill set

We'd love to hear from you if

• You have demonstrated hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture including transient protein expression and sterile techniques
• You have hands-on experience with, or an interest in learning about, molecular biology (vector design for mammalian gene expression, DNA cloning), automated liquid handlers, and/or electronic lab notebooks (ELNs)
• You have a BSc in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry
• You have impeccable attention to detail, and take pride in everything you do
• You have excellent documentation, organizational and communication skills
• You thrive in collaborative working environments, valuing teamwork and open communication, fostering a shared sense of purpose

What we offer

AbCellera’s hiring range for this role is CAD $51,300 - $64,100 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution.
