As a Security Guard - Shopping Center Patrol in Denver, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a retail or mall location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to visitors, staff, and tenants. You will be expected to respond promptly to incidents, assist with access control, and communicate clearly with both the public and your team. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs within the location to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to manage visitor flow as needed.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established protocols and providing clear communication.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
