A leading global healthcare organization is looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with statutory and corporate requirements in Japan. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence and support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities Oversee accounting operations (GL, A/P, A/R, payroll, tax) across multiple entities Ensure compliance with J-GAAP, US GAAP, and internal controls (SOX) Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reporting Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies Partner with leadership to provide insights and manage financial risks Drive process improvements and align local systems with global platforms Support M&A, system upgrades, and other strategic projects Requirements 7+ years in accounting or finance, preferably in multinational or healthcare firms Strong knowledge of J-GAAP, US GAAP, tax, and internal controls Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) Fluent in Japanese; business-level English Experience with SOX and working in a global environment is a plus What's on Offer Strategic role in a global, mission-driven company Career growth and international collaboration Competitive salary and benefits
