Job Title: Senior Scrum Master – Banking Sector

Downtown, Toronto: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite, 2 Days Remote)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead and coach multiple agile teams within a high-performing environment at a top-tier banking client . The ideal candidate will bring deep Agile expertise, hands-on Scrum leadership, and experience working in complex, regulated environments such as banking or financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as Scrum Master for 2–3 cross-functional teams delivering digital banking or core banking initiatives.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Reviews, Retrospectives).
• Remove impediments to team progress and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, and Stakeholders to ensure delivery of high-value features.
• Drive Agile best practices and coach teams and stakeholders on Agile principles.
• Collaborate with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Program Managers, and other Scrum Masters across the portfolio.
• Monitor Agile metrics (velocity, burn-down, team health) and use data to inform improvements.
• Ensure adherence to compliance, security, and audit requirements typical in financial environments.

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, including at least 2 years in a senior or enterprise-level role.
• Proven track record in the banking, financial services , or similarly regulated industries.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and servant leadership skills.
• Deep understanding of Agile frameworks: Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, or LeSS.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence , and other Agile tools.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), or equivalent Agile certifications.
• Experience working in hybrid environments (Agile within Waterfall/PMO structures).
• Background in digital transformation, payments, lending, or core banking systems.

Work Arrangement:

• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.
• Candidate must be local .
