Software Engineer - Data Platform

About the Role
We are seeking a software engineer to join the data platform team. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain critical systems that enable our data ingestion and processing pipelines. You will leverage modern cloud-based technologies to ensure that our data infrastructure remains secure, efficient, and highly reliable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust data ingestion pipelines capable of processing large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate closely with the Security and Privacy teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Conduct integration, end-to-end, and load testing to identify and resolve issues in data pipelines.
• Use observability tools to monitor production systems, setting up alerts and tracking their performance effectively.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks within data processing systems.

What We're Looking For

• Proficiency in programming with Kotlin or Java.
• Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS), microservices, and event-driven distributed system architectures.
• Strong database expertise, including SQL, relational databases, and NoSQL solutions.
• Familiarity with data streaming tools such as AWS Kinesis, Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing.
• A solid understanding of monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for production systems.
