Job Description

An opportunity is available for skilled Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational environment located in Methuen, MA. These contract positions offer a chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the current school year (CSY), ensuring students receive tailored instruction and support that meets their individual learning needs.

Openings include:

• High School Inclusion Teacher
• Resource Teacher with Autism focus (K-8 Grammar School)
• 4th Grade Resource Classroom Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students specific needs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to promote inclusive learning environments.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and resources to assist students with disabilities in accessing the curriculum.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches to maximize learning outcomes.
• Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and team members regarding student progress and needs.

Desired Qualifications:

• Massachusetts Special Education licensure appropriate for K-12 settings.
• Experience working with students in inclusion and resource settings, including those with autism spectrum disorder.
• Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction, behavior management, and assessment techniques.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and staff.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
