Systems Integrator Manufacturing Location Bradford West Gwillimbury, ON :

We are seeking a motivated individual who thrives in the manufacturing industry's drive to use technology for improved process efficiency, cost reduction, and elevated quality standards.

The Systems Integrator will be responsible in developing, operating, and refining integrated solutions that enhance production processes through increased efficiency, productivity, and reliability in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

This position is offered on a 6-month contractual basis, with the potential for transition to permanent employment based on business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on integrating equipment, control systems, and software applications to streamline production.
  • Design and implement solutions to automate tasks, monitor production, and optimize equipment performance in a manufacturing and warehousing environment
  • Involvement with purchasing and new project development
  • Create facility layouts and plans, collaborating with key stakeholders
  • Involvement with research and development at our facility, with a focus in manufacturing and warehouse automation
  • Attend tradeshows (may require out-of-country travel)
  • Follow-up with new leads and attending in person meetings with various companies and stakeholders
  • Provide Expertise in automation knowledge specifically in a manufacturing environment

Skills Required:

  • Strong understanding of production workflows, equipment operation, and technologies in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in PLCs, industrial robots, and automation technologies.
  • Ability to integrate software systems such as MES, ERP systems aiming at improving the manufacturing and business operations.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to (OHSA, etc)
  • CAD Design Proficiency, with proven experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a creative mind for new solutions and innovative ideas

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field is required.
  • 5 or more years of experience in automation or related work is required.
  • Certified Automation Professional (CAP) is preferred.
  • Experience in PLC programming, robotics, MES/ERP systems, and industrial networking
  • Valid drivers license and the ability to travel to various sites and locations
  • Excellent communication skills is required

*This position requires traveling outside of Canada and potentially overseas travel

Job Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 6 months
