Job Description

Dishwasher:

• Responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of all re-usable serving wear.
• Responsible for working quickly and effciently during service to make sure the kitchen and foh team do not run out of clean dish ware.
• Helping to buss tables and maintaining high levels of cleanliness in specific sections of the kitchen and restaurant.

Duties:

• Maintaining a clean and organized dish area, while aiding the worker staff by returning serving wear, plates, and cutlery
• Ensuring correct sanitation practices, and regularly checking high traffic parts of the café & coffee bar
• Responsible to maintain work areas in the kitchen, and return equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Ensure temperature checks are done on the dish machine, as well as levels of cleaning products
• Sort and remove organic material, containers, waste, and place it in the designated areas
• Ensure that during down times, the kitchen is aided in handling product, and some other forms of preparation for service
• Responsible for opening/closing duties that may include daily/weekly/monthly maintenance projects

The finer print:

• Must be availabke to work weekends ( Saturday + Sunday)
• 1+ years in a similar position at a high volume, fast paced environment
• Responsible at working during peak time, which may include mornings, evenings, and weekends
• Has excellent communication skills, as well as a positive attitude with an emphasis on teamwork
• Has an interest in nutrition, and healthy living, as this position is physical
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Food safe certificate is an asset
