ABOUT IMMANUEL CHURCH

Our aim is to create joyful, God-centred, Spirit-led worship experiences that draw people into God’s presence and move them toward deeper transformation, empowering them to live out their mission in their day-to-day lives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

WORSHIP (50%)

• Lead Weekly Worship Gatherings : Create and lead worship services that are theologically rich, emotionally resonant, and aligned with the weekly message and focus.
• Prayer Team : Oversee and develop a prayer team, cultivating a culture of intercession and dependence on the Spirit.
• Team Development & Discipleship : Recruit, train, and disciple worship ministry members, including vocalists, instrumentalists, sound technicians, and media operators.
• Service Planning & Coordination : Collaborate with church staff to develop weekly worship sets, coordinate tech teams, and ensure smooth execution of worship services and special events.
• Technical Oversight : This position oversees the technical elements of worship services, including live streaming, sound equipment, and audio mixing. Familiarity with Final Cut Pro is a plus.
• Artistic Integration : Incorporate diverse creative elements into worship to engage hearts and minds.
• Worship Culture Formation : Inspire the church to see worship as more than music but as a way of life.

ADDITIONAL MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY (40%)

Depending on passions and gifting, this portion of the role is flexible and exploratory. Possibilities include: spiritual formation, community groups, pastoral care or community life.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just fill a role, but helps to shape what’s next.

MINISTRY ADMINISTRATION (10%)

• Budget Management : Oversee ministry department budgets to ensure the responsible and strategic use of resources.
• Staff Collaboration : Actively participate in staff meetings and church-wide initiatives, fostering a culture of teamwork, encouragement, and shared mission.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Skilled vocalist and musician, confident in leading from an instrument
• Strong grasp of worship theology and how to engage a multi-generational, multi-ethnic congregation
• Experience in team leadership and volunteer development
• Knowledge of sound systems, livestreaming, and media tools
• Comfortable with creative arts and storytelling
• Formal musical training and teaching experience are an asset.

POSITION DETAILS

• Status: Full-time
• Reports to: Lead Pastor
• Compensation: Commensurate with experience and qualifications. ($55,000-$70,000).
