Job Description

We're seeking a Material Handler/Forklift Operator - Straight Days or Nights to join our client's team in London. You’ll work in a foundry environment for one of the oldest family-owned business in the city and benefit from opportunities to learn and grow.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure raw material is supplied timely as required to appropriate melting furnaces.
• Assist in relocating materials and work in process between workstations as required.
• Provide support during the heat-treating process as required.
• Ensure products are packed and shipped in accordance with requirements as outlined on the Packaging and Shipping Instructions.
• Ensure shipping documents are prepared correctly and directed to the appropriate area for storage and retention.
• Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconforming product to process and quality management system.
• Identify and report any problems relating to the product, process, and quality management system.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Assemble containers, crates and boxes, pack goods to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions.
• Load and unload goods from trucks or other conveyances.
• Inspect and verify incoming goods against purchase orders or other documents, record shortages, and reject damaged goods.
• Unpack and route goods to appropriate storage areas.
• Perform other duties as required.

Wh at We're Looking For:

• Minimum 2 years of material handling experience, preferably in a hot environment.  
• Minimum 2 years' forklift experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must enjoy physical labour.
