A full-time Registered Nurse position supporting a high school student is available in the Dacula, GA area. This contract role is scheduled for the full school year (NSY) and involves providing dedicated 1:1 nursing care to a medically complex student within a school setting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing nursing care to a wheelchair-bound student, currently using a manual chair with a power chair on order
• Managing tracheostomy care including suctioning as needed (training provided)
• Monitoring ventilator use PRN, primarily during illness
• Administering two G-tube feedings via syringe during school hours
• Assisting with toileting and changing tasks
• Monitoring for infrequent seizure activity
• Supporting communication through the students AAC device (training provided)

Qualifications/Experience:

• Current and active RN license
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing, specifically with students requiring complex medical care, is essential
• Competency and comfort managing tracheostomy, ventilators, and G-tube feedings
• Ability to work independently and provide compassionate care in a school setting
• Flexibility to adapt to students individual health needs

This role requires a dedicated professional capable of providing attentive, skilled care to support the students full participation in school activities. The schedule is full-time, approximately 35 hours per week during school hours.
